James is the CEO of Dial800, a leader in the call performance marketing industry for 28 years. He has been managing companies in technology and advertising for over 20 years. Under James’ leadership, Dial800 has been named to the Inc. 5000 Hall of Fame list of the fastest-growing private U.S. companies for six consecutive years (2010-2015). This repeated success is a result of the company leveraging his technical and management background with his entrepreneurial passion and focus on building cultures and teams that grow and flourish.
After 7 years of consistent growth, James led the acquisition of competitor Custom Toll Free, now operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Dial800. He most recently nurtured the inception and growth of two Dial800 subsidiaries: the innovative call monetization company Call Delivery Systems, and market-disruptive research company Reconnect Research. James graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.S. in Computer Science.
Scott is a leading expert in the use of numerically memorable and vanity toll-free numbers and how they work more effectively in tandem with consumer’s short-term
memory to generate significant increases in consumer response. In addition to acting as Dial800’s Chairman, Scott is the CEO of Reconnect Research, which utilizes a platform he invented that connects people already on the phone to research surveys and political polls. While CEO of Dial800 for 18 years, Scott pioneered two multi-million dollar services based firms on how people remember and dial toll-free numbers, which in turn created a new paradigm and set the standard for offline marketing. Drawing from the science Cognitive Numeric Theory and Memory Chunking, Mr. Richards wrote an algorithm that
recommends easily chunkable digit patterns that significantly increase caller response to TV and radio ads. Scott possesses a BA in Advertising and Marketing from California State University-Northridge.
Larry brings over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur buttressed by 10 years of traditional accounting, auditing and management experience in a Big 8 Public Accounting Firm and Corporate America. As the principal owner of DeMers & Associates, an accounting firm, Larry has integrated accounting, tax and real estate expertise into a complete solution to manage and create wealth for his clients. His key to success is “connecting with people, understanding their challenges, and then providing them hard truths,” all in a manner that promotes cooperation and team building. This has empowered Larry’s clients to build self-confidence and take leaps of faith, ultimately leading them to realize their dreams and goals. As Dial 800’s CFO, Larry has been instrumental in the company’s unprecedented growth, being named to the Inc. 5000 for five consecutive years, and managing an 800% increase in clients with minimal cost. Larry is a Certified Public Accountant, Real Estate Broker, has a BS in Economics with a Business Emphasis from UCLA.
Tim has extensive experience in operations, finance, and business strategy and is adept at driving growth and improving operational efficiencies. He leverages vast experience and an entrepreneurial bent to build and manage teams, including operating policies and procedures, process controls and executive oversight. At Dial800, Tim is committed to creating efficiencies that will benefit customers and personnel, amid a rapidly growing enterprise. Prior to joining Dial800, Tim was President of Red Pen, Inc. where he specialized in strategic initiatives and operations improvement, including change,sales operations, and business transformation for companies that include Barclays, ebay, Nokia, and Telogis. He holds an MBA: MIS as well as a BA from California State University-Fullerton.
Mike is the consummate consultative sales professional committed to creating value for customers and fostering long-term relationships. As the head of Dial800’s business development team, Mike focuses first on understanding a business’s financial goals. He will then determine how to best Dial800’s capabilities with those goals when appropriate, in addition to leveraging a vast network of contacts to nurture reciprocal growth. Prior to joining Dial800, Mike served in a variety of sales and marketing roles with companies such as MidNet Media, a leading global advertising network, Time Inc., a leader in magazine marketing, Spectra Media Advertising and payment processing heavyweight Litle & Co. Mike possesses a BS in Marketing from Southern Connecticut State University. Mike’s personal philosophy is to live every day like it’s your last adventure and prefers a log cabin in the woods to keeping up with the Joneses. He has been voted Best Dad Ever 14 years in a row by the Mezzanotte Family Trust.
Chris is an energetic and proven leader who uses his experience and knowledge to help move companies to the forefront of their industry. He has a results-oriented personality with a high focus on growth, leadership, and is committed to the empowerment of all Dial800 team members. A deft problem solver, Chris has led the company’s efforts to overhaul its internal technology platform and improve its IVR capabilities, and he has been instrumental in the development of Dial800’s proprietary routing engine, AccuRoute. Prior to joining Dial800 a decade ago, Chris worked with telecom carriers PointOne and CNM/Callipso. He holds a BS in Telecommunications Technology from ITT Institute of Technology.
Jennifer has oversight of the totality of Dial800’s marketing efforts including online marketing, collateral, trade shows, content generation, thought leadership, and social engagement. She has helped shepherd Dial800 during a period of significant growth whereby the company has been named to the Inc. 5000 of the fastest growing U.S.-based privately held companies. Given the ever-changing nature of marketing nowadays, Jennifer is constantly striving to learn the most innovative and effective ways to engage customers, prospects, and influencers, and is committed to lifelong learning. Prior to joining Dial800 in 2009, she worked in a variety of operational and managerial roles for companies such as Chitalia, LLC, The EyeSite, and HGI/New Deal Studios. Jennifer holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the prestigious Boston Conservatory.
Gordon is a skilled software architect and full-stack developer with 15 years of experience developing applications in a variety of settings from bootstrapped startup to corporate incubation. He has a proven track record designing massively scalable multi-tiered, service-oriented systems that are robust and efficient. In his role as director of application development, Gordon oversees the design, development, and delivery of Dial800’s many software platforms. Prior to joining Dial800, Gordon served as the U.S. Head of Development for Experian as well as the Director of Development, Software Development Manager of Experian CheetahMail. He has a BCIS in Computer & Information Science from Coleman University and maintains an avid interest in art, science, mathematics, philosophy, software, and artificial intelligence.
