Traffic jam: Dial800 marketing set for digital marketing summit

Dial800 CEO James Diorio will meet with existing and potential partners when he travels to the Eighth Annual Traffic & Conversion Summit in San Diego March 10-12.  At the same time attendee Megan Andersen, the company’s digital marketing manager, will absorb cutting-edge digital conversion strategies

“I enjoyed and got a lot from this conference last year, and I’m happy to be back to learn more,” observes Andersen.  “Last year there was a lot of discussion around the importance of designing, and marketing strategies to increase inbound call leads, not just online submissions.  Everyone is discovering just how well calls convert over online, and I look forward to seeing more coverage around the merging of voice and digital.”

Last year nearly 2,500 professionals from 42 countries and 48 states hobnobbed at the sold-out conference, and this year’s audience is expected to double in size, reports sponsor DigitalMarketer. In 2016 almost half the attendees were CEOs, founders or co-founders of the companies they represented, hailing from segments that ranged from advertising/PR to health care to real estate to finance.

DigitalMarketer.com CEO Ryan Deiss, a keynote speaker, says the event’s claim to fame is the value of its real-world insights. “You leave with actual strategies that are going to deliver a positive ROI,” he says. “We’re taking a lot of time here with our own team to reveal to you what’s working for us, not just as digital marketers but across all portfolio companies. It’s open-the-kimono time, letting you know what’s hot, what’s new and what’s actually working.”

Other keynote speakers at the event include B. Bonin Bough, Roland Frasier and Perry Belcher.

Fans may best recognize Bough as host of the CNBC show “Cleveland Hustles” in which NBA star LeBron James and his business partner back entrepreneurial efforts aimed at boosting the economy in northeastern Ohio. A member of the Advertising Hall of Fame, Bough was formerly chief media and e-commerce officer for Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods), creating marketing for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Paramount Films, ABC, NBC and Fox. He has spearheaded large global marketing campaigns across digital, mobile, television, print and experiential, and last year authored the book “Txt Me.”

Renaissance men Frasier and Belcher co-own DigitalMarketer and will speak together as parts of two different keynote presentations. Frasier, also a principal with Idea Incubator, is a direct marketing specialist, lawyer, author, real estate guru, investor and entrepreneur. Belcher is an SEO expert, author, investor, importer, copywriter and Internet entrepreneur.

The summit will offer a total of 32 speaker presentations on topics that cover optimization of Facebook video testing, live video, Pinterest-promoted pins, automated email follow-up sequencing, simple content marketing and podcast launch strategies.

Deiss will introduce updates to a conversion funnel concept he created, demonstrating how the changes are yielding higher sales and happier customers and ending wars between sales and marketing departments. Another presentation will center around leveraging Facebook and Google enhancements to video ads, lead ads and segmented retargeting models to better connect with audiences.

Attendees will also have access to dozens of landing page and order form split tests they can use at their own companies.
